Hackers Collect Credit Card Details

Hackers-Collect-Credit-Card-Details According to F-Secure, hackers began to use the illegal downloading as it provides an opportunity for them to steal credit card details from users of web.

As a matter of fact, a Trojan was detected by the security vendor. It turned out that the virus was trying to assure PC users that an ‘Antipiracy foundation scanner’ has identified illegal torrents in the system.
Every time when the user reboots the system such warnings appear and ask them to pay $400 to ICPP Foundation which should be done in order to cover a “copyright holder fine”. Moreover, it claims that in case of not paying the fine it can lead to a jail sentence.
It was identified that the Trojan’s warnings copy letters of law firms which are sent on behalf of copyright holders. It is claimed by the letters that the internet connection of a recipient has been used to illegally download games, movies and also music. Due to this fact they have to pay a fine.
But it is noted by F-Secure that ICPP Foundation does not exist. As a matter of fact, there is a group that has an official-looking website such as http://www.icpp-online.com, the group is behind Trojan. Moreover, the messages will appear even though there is no illegal material in the system.
Also those who will try to pay the fine, they will be unable to find credit-card payment system which is related to the site. It looks like hackers just collect the information about credit cards.
